Teamwork

I am constantly reminded of how working as a team is illusive if we are not careful. What do I mean... I mean, it is so easy to think we are working as a team and really not be. Just because things are getting done and weeks are passing by doesn't mark success as a team. Teams work together. Teams get stuff done. But teams work together and get stuff done out of respect and trust for each other. Just think of successful sports teams...

If there is no trust and there is no respect, things may get done, but out of obligation for the task not out of LOVE for the task or each other. Jesus said that you could tell who the Christians were partly because they will have love for one another.

My point. We have given some people authority in areas because we need to get the job done. Those people know that 50% of their job is to build trust and respect. It should go both ways. If someone asks you to do something, know its because we are trying to get a PRE-PLANNED task done and not because they are trying to be bossy.

Whew... was I ranting? :) No ranting intended. Teamwork with trust and respect is VITAL to our success. Lets get it done for the Kingdom!
