Creating Flow

One of the important things I believe we have been missing the boat on at CATR is Sunday morning flow. Early on we were doing a pretty good job, but over time I guess we have just gotten lazy. During the staff retreat Tuesday and Wednesday we decided to get back to our original thoughts on the subject, take some action and get out of the rut.

I will be slowly taking over the areas that encompass everything from the parking lot through the gathering. That will include parking, host team, production, worship and creative arts. The goal will be to create an experience for people that begins in the parking lot and continues until they leave. Another goal is to try to do this without creating a lot more work for everyone on Sunday morning. This is going to be a bit of a task, but it is just one of the things we feel needs to happen to go to the next level.

The first step will be two fold:
1. Smooth out the bumps we have visually... signage, quality of the "look", etc.
2. Ensure we have the right people in the right places doing the right things. (I think we almost have this part down, just some tweaking)

Next we will begin to plan the experience to include that whole range of environments each week and not just what happens in the gathering.

Yeehaw!
