Just so you know...
You should eat before you weight train. I know. You're smarter than that. Well, I wasn't yesterday. I really didn't know any better and so before I knew it I was on the floor calling for the trash can. It messed me up for over 2 hours. There were a few moments I thought I needed to go to the hospital. So, anyway, eat something healthy before you try to do alot of exercise. Hey, at least it makes for a good illustration some day.

Joining A Gym
I am joining a gym in the morning... No, really. Its time. Shelly and I both are joining. I think it is important that you pay attention to your entire self not just spiritual but emotional, relational, intellectual (need to work on this more, too) AND physical. I'm sure I will be sore after tomorrow but it will be that good kind of sore, you know. Its that kind of feeling like, man I am actually doing something good for myself. I'm actually excited about sweating!

Thoughts for today...
1. I am excited about a new system we are working on for the Creative Arts area of CATR. It will really help our workflow and communication. If you work with us in the Creative area, this is something that we really need and I think if everyone gets on board with us on this it will be awesome.
2. We are beginning to work heavily on some things for Christmas. A word on this is coming soon.
3. My wife needs glasses. No really, she has been getting bad headaches and we have noticed that it is mainly when she is reading, working on homework with the kids or looking at a computer screen. Now if I can just get her to get an appointment, it will be great.
4. We are about to move to a new church management software system that will really help with our systems at CATR. I'm hoping the learning curve isn't too large, because this couldn't be happening fast enough.
5. Anybody got any creative ideas on how to save water? We are in a severe drought here and are getting really close to water being rationed. Yikes!
6. I have meetings with two pastors of large, growing churches this week that I am excited about. I need to think of some good questions for them.

I'm Still Learning
I'm discovering more and more everyday how much I simply do not know. That may seem arrogant, but its just the truth. I really don't know much at all and I bet if you are honest with yourself and stepped out of your comfort zone, you would realize the same thing. There is so much to learn and so many things to discover.
Still, the one thing that I have discovered that I need to learn the most is this: I need to learn to apply what I already know. See, most of the time we think learning something new is going to fix it, when in reality we already know what to do (for the most part) we just need to DO it.
I went to a church planters practicum at Mountain Lake Church the past two days and learned, mostly, some things about myself. I think its good to go to places like that that remind you of things that you already know, but lack the courage or discipline to take the first step and make some changes for the better.
So here I am. I have learned something about myself and I am moving forward.

Trying to Change
Ok after an overwhelming... ok it was just a few people, but I think only 4.2 people actually read this blog... anyway, I am changing the look again to something more palatable. Problem is blogger is having some kind of problem and I can't upload my header file. I'll keep trying.

Color
Shelly just informed me that this tan color looks like baby poo. Who agrees? Do I need to change it? and to what?
